The Kparekpare Victory Presbyterian Basic School has held a colourful ceremony to honour the academic achievements of its students and the dedication of its teachers.
The event, which attracted parents, teachers, church leaders, and community members, was a vibrant celebration of excellence, highlighting the commitment of both learners and educators.
The school’s best candidate, Precious Kamangma, was recognised for her exceptional performance in the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE). The Presbyterian Church praised her achievement, describing it as an inspiration and a high standard for her peers to emulate.
Several teachers also received recognition for their tireless efforts in shaping the minds of students and providing a conducive learning environment. Their commitment to quality education was commended as a major factor in the school’s recent success.
Reverend Emmanuel Owusu Brobbey, Dambai District Minister, on behalf of the Presbyterian Church, presented essential school items, including a mattress and trunk, as well as cash support to Precious. He assured that the Church would continue to support her through her Senior High School (SHS) education.
The Director of Presbyterian Church Schools, Mr. George Eworyi, expressed his gratitude to the teachers for their dedication and hard work, which had contributed to the school’s high academic performance. He noted that while teachers are often blamed when results are poor, they rarely receive recognition when students excel. He called for parents to play an active role in supporting their children’s education.
Mr. Wisdom Soglo, a member of the school committee, outlined the strategic plan that contributed to the school’s impressive BECE performance. He revealed that candidates were required to stay on campus to avoid distractions, attended evening classes to supplement daytime lessons, and took part in intensive revision sessions designed to reinforce key concepts. These measures, he said, ensured thorough preparation and boosted confidence among the candidates.
Teachers of the school expressed their appreciation to the Presbyterian Church for the incentives, saying the recognition had significantly motivated them to continue delivering high-quality education to children in the area.
Mr. Daniel Badu Kamangma, father of the best BECE candidate, expressed appreciation to God, the Presbyterian Church, and the teachers for contributing to his daughter’s achievement. The family also extended their gratitude to the teachers for their dedication and sacrifices in nurturing students.
For her part, Precious Kamangma promised her teachers and parents that she would continue to work hard and strive to achieve a single-digit aggregate in her upcoming West African Examinations Council (WAEC) exams.
