The Founder and Leader of the Liberation Party of Ghana (LPG), Kofi Akpaloo, submitted his nomination forms to the Electoral Commission on Monday, September 9, 2024. Addressing the press, the presidential aspirant made two key promises to Ghanaians.

Firstly, Mr. Akpaloo assured the nation that, if elected, he would introduce free tertiary education for all. This pledge aims to improve the standard of education in Ghana, making it more accessible and affordable for citizens.

Secondly, the LPG leader addressed the pressing issue of land degradation caused by illegal mining (Galamsey). Mr. Akpaloo proposed a solution to bring all Galamseyers under one umbrella, forming a mining firm that would enable them to compete with foreign firms without harming the environment, particularly water bodies.
