Mr David Wei, Business Manager at the Keda (Ghana) Ceramics Company Limited, has reiterated the company’s commitment to create local employment opportunities and significantly improve the lives of many families within its catchment areas.
He added that the company would continue to uphold its “Rooted in Ghana, Growing Together” philosophy and actively integrate it into the local society while fulfilling its Corporate Responsibilities and working together with the communities to create a more prosperous and brighter future.
Mr Wei, who made the commitment when he presented a gift to Nana Akosua Gyamfiaba II, Queen Mother of Nyankrom and Nana Edu Kotsia III, during their traditional wedding ceremony, contended that the invitation was a recognition of Keda Ghana’s contributions and a symbol of the strong and lasting friendship between the company and the Nyankrom community.
According to him, the grand wedding not only displayed Ghana’s rich cultural heritage but also highlighted the deep and enduring friendship between Keda Ghana and the Nyankrom community.
He recalled that during the COVID-19 pandemic, the company donated hygiene supplies including tissue paper, laundry detergent soap, and bath soap, to the Nyankrom community, helped residents to improve upon sanitation conditions and fought against the pandemic.
He said the company, which is Ghana’s largest ceramics manufacturer, contributed to the local community by donating ceramic tiles to the Nyankrom D/A Basic School to enhance school infrastructure and support local education.
Mr Wei highlighted that the company produced high-quality ceramic products under the Twyford and Micasso brands, and sanitary wares under the Frencia brand, with exports reaching high-end markets in Europe and the United States.
He announced that the Keda Ghana Ceramics Company Limited was established in 2016 and has since grown to become a market leader in the African market.
He was accompanied by Mr Eugene Komey, the Administrative Manager of the company.
