Job creation: President Mahama to launch Adwumawura Programme

President John Dramani Mahama will on Monday, will tomorrow, April 28, 2025, launch the Adwumawura Programme. at the Prempeh Assembly Hall in Kumasi.
Mr. George Opare Addo, the Minister of Youth Development and Employment, in a video message made available to the Ghana News Agency said in the run-up to the 2024 election, the President, then a candidate in the election, made a promise of creating decent and sustainable jobs for young people.
The Adwumawura Programme was one of the key initiatives pledged and falls under the Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment, which was going to be implemented by the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP).
“Young people, this is for you. Let’s take advantage of it, and let’s build the Ghana we want. Let’s take this opportunity to thank His Excellency President John Rahman Mahama for fulfilling one of his key campaign promises to the young people of this country,” the Minister said.
“Young people of Ghana, let’s take advantage of this Programme, and let’s build for all of us the Ghana we want.”
The Programme, which will be spearheaded by NEIP, is aimed at creating sustainable jobs and providing better livelihoods for young people.
It will empower 10,000 young Ghanaians, aged between 18 and 35, each year to start and grow their businesses.
