Ghanaian media personality and YouTuber Jessica Opare-Saforo has sparked conversation with her recent advice to men in relationships.
In a widely shared video, the voice-over artist and former Miss Malaika host cautioned men against focusing all their energy on one partner, warning that such behavior can lead to obsession and, ultimately, heartbreak.
“If you’re putting all your energy into just one woman, you might be setting yourself up for heartbreak and disappointment,” she stated.
Jessica noted that over-investment in a single partner can cause men to lose sight of their own needs, goals, and standards.
“Focusing too much on her too soon blinds you to everything else. You start ignoring your own needs, your personal life, and even your standards. Yeah, I said it. Your standards fly right out the window,” she warned.
She further explained that women can often sense when a man becomes overly attached, which can undermine the relationship.
“Women can sense when a guy is overly invested. When you’re chasing someone like that, it’s not a relationship. It’s you running after someone who hasn’t even committed,” Jessica observed.
She urged men to maintain a balanced approach in relationships, emphasizing the importance of preserving personal identity and goals.
“You’ve given her the power to dictate your emotions, your happiness, and your self-worth, all because you put too much focus on one woman,” Jessica explained.
Reflecting on the emotional toll, she added, “When things don’t go the way you want, it hurts. Bad. You start questioning yourself—why isn’t she responding? What did I do wrong? Why doesn’t she feel the same way as I do?”
Jessica’s candid advice has sparked a mix of reactions online, with many debating her perspective on relationships and self-worth.
