It takes experience to maintain peace in marriage – Ohemaa Woyeje

Media personality Ohemaa Woyeje has opened up about how she handles marital challenges to sustain peace in her relationship.

In an interview with Fiifi Pratt on Kingdom FM, Ohemaa reflected on the early stages of her marriage, admitting that she initially struggled with trust and often felt the urge to check her husband’s phone for signs of trouble.

“I used to have issues during misunderstandings because I was naïve, but today I don’t complain. Sometimes it surprises my husband. When I was younger, I would check his phone for anything suspicious,” she shared.

She explained that over time, she learned to let go of minor issues and embrace a more tolerant approach. “Now, his phone can ring for 24 hours without me bothering. Whatever missed calls he has are his concern. It takes experience to tolerate these things, but it’s important to ensure it doesn’t affect your peace,” she stated in Twi during the interview.

Ohemaa emphasized that overlooking certain matters has been instrumental in maintaining harmony in her marriage.

Ohemaa Woyeje married her Holland-based husband, Emmanuel Yaw Owusu Kusi, in April 2017. The couple is blessed with two children.
