The Inspector-General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, has reaffirmed the Ghana Police Service’s dedication to maintaining neutrality and professionalism during the upcoming elections.
Speaking at the commissioning of a state-of-the-art police station at Akyem Muoso in the Eastern Region on November 17, 2024, Dr. Dampare assured the public that the Police would apply the law impartially and not favor any political side.
He also issued a stern warning to potential troublemakers, stating that the Police would not tolerate any actions that could disturb the nation’s peace before, during, or after the elections.
“The Ghana Police Service belongs to the country and its people. We are not aligned with any political side; our mission is to serve and protect the public. Therefore, we will remain neutral and professional during and beyond the elections,” he emphasized.
