“Nation-wreckers” is how Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the running mate of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), has described Ashanti Region voters for the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

During the Manhyia South health walk in Kumasi, Dr. Prempeh, who goes by Napo, addressed a group of NPP supporters and said that the NDC has a history of ignoring the Ashanti Region.

He therefore thought that supporting the party would be a betrayal of the interests of the area.

Napo asked party members to be faithful to the NPP by making sure the party wins the next election, restating the party’s vow to get 85% of the vote in the area.
