I may not be as savage as people think – Tiwa Savage reveals

Nigerian music star Tiwa Savage recently shared heartfelt insights on love, career dedication, and her personal evolution during an interview on Nigeria’s Beat FM, where she promoted her latest single, Forgiveness.

Opening up about her romantic side, Tiwa revealed, “If I’m into someone, I’m really into that person.” Reflecting on her most daring act for love, she confessed, “I’ve pulled up at a guy’s house unannounced. I may not be as savage as people think.”

Discussing her approach to work, Tiwa highlighted her fierce determination. “I’m relentless when it comes to my work. I’ll call you twenty times if something needs to get done. If you give me a reason it’s not, I’ll find a way to make it happen,” she said, emphasizing her “savage” commitment that’s driven her to the top.

Tiwa also introduced fans to what she calls her “phoenix era,” a phase of resilience and self-reinvention. She shared, “I am in my phoenix era; I even have a phoenix tattoo on my neck. She’s gone through the fire, and I’m just getting out of it, stronger in love, heartbreak, and life in general.” This period marks a “rebirth” for Tiwa as she learns to set boundaries and embrace her achievements.

Looking beyond music, Tiwa spoke of her ambitions to expand her impact, sharing dreams of acting, launching a skincare line, growing her NGO work, and possibly opening a music school.

Recognizing her role model status, Tiwa acknowledged the responsibility it entails, saying, “I had to embrace it. As much as I’m seen as a role model, I still have to be true to myself. When I make mistakes, I address them, because I’m human—that’s part of being a role model.”
