Ghanaian musician Mzbel has made a strong statement about her stance on marriage, revealing that she has no intentions of ever getting married. She cites her desire for peace of mind and her priorities of having a man and making babies as the main reasons for her decision.

“I don’t have the time for that drama. I can’t stay with a man in a house, so I want you to stay where you are for me to also stay where I am. With this, there is always a new date,” Mzbel explained.

She emphasized that anyone who wants to be with her should not consider marriage. “If you like me and want us to be together, don’t think of marriage. Let’s keep the relationship, but we should not announce to the world that we are together,” she stated.

Mzbel expressed her discomfort with the public scrutiny that often accompanies marriage. “I don’t like the fact that people will see my husband in the club and say, ‘What are you doing in the club?’ or people meeting me and questioning what I’m wearing.”

Addressing the significance of the ring she wears, Mzbel shared, “The man I’m with gave it to me, and it’s expensive. He gave it to me because he was happy I had a baby for him and his surname will be given to his child. As for me, I won’t marry.”
