Honour Busia’s Legacy with Your Votes – Napo Tells Wenchi Chiefs and Residents

Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the running mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has called on the people of Wenchi in the Bono Region to honour the memory of former Prime Minister Dr. Kofi Abrefa Busia by voting for the NPP in the 2024 election.

During a campaign tour of Wenchi, a town with significant importance to the NPP’s political tradition, Napo reminded residents that a vote for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia would be a fitting tribute to Dr. Busia’s legacy.

Napo engaged with chiefs, clergy, Muslims, and residents, urging them to pray for the NPP and to vote massively for Bawumia. He highlighted the remarkable work done by the government and pledged to win back the Wenchi seat for the NPP.

The NPP Parliamentary candidate for Wenchi, Kojo Frempong, also pledged his commitment to winning the seat back for the NPP and called for support from the chiefs and people.

The Omanhene of Wenchi, Nana Ampem Anye Amoampong Tabrako III, commended Dr. Opoku Prempeh for his excellent performance in government and highlighted some of the challenges facing the people, calling for support from the government.

The Wenchi constituency has been an NPP stronghold since its inception, but was lost to the NDC in 2020. Napo’s visit aimed to rally support and ensure a resounding victory for the NPP in December.
