Helicopter Crash: Okada Motor Ghana CEO consoles gov’t, bereaved families of eight victims

Mr Mohammed Sumaila, Chief Executive Officer for Okada Motor Ghana, has extended his deepest condolences to the bereaved families of the eight souls who perished in the tragic helicopter crash.
He said the news of the tragic crash deeply disturbed him so dearly, thus making it extremely difficult to sleep at night.
Mr Sumaila, in a media interview remarked: “I found myself reflecting on the fragility of life and the painful reality that even those who dedicate themselves to serving our nation can be taken from us so suddenly”.
Mr Sumaila noted: “Among those departed were brilliant minds and devoted patriots, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah was someone I admired greatly. His intellect, his clarity in argument, and his unwavering commitment to Ghana made him a figure worth listening to and learning from.
“To think that this is how his journey ends, it is truly heartbreaking.
“As a Muslim, I believe that life and death are in the hands of God. He gives, and He takes, and we do not question His will, but the pain of this loss is profound”.
He said the lost souls were young and vibrant individuals who had so much more to offer, therefore, their absence leaves a void not just in government, but in the hearts of all Ghanaians.
“On behalf of Okada Motor Ghana, we join the entire nation in mourning. We stand in solidarity with the families of the victims, and especially with the First Family. I can only imagine the weight on the President’s shoulders, losing two key members of his Cabinet, his Minister of Defence and Minister of Environment, in one tragic moment”.
“We remember Alhaji Dr Murtala Mohammad, a man I knew personally. A brilliant thinker, deeply religious, and proud of his northern heritage. Our shared faith and background make this loss even more personal. Ghana has lost not just leaders, but brothers,” he added.
“May their souls rest in perfect peace. And may their families find strength in the love and unity of our nation,” Mr Sumaila remarked.
