Hajj Village construction: Not a pesewa of taxpayers’ money involved – Ofosu

Mr Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Presidential Spokesman and Minister of State in-charge of Government Communications has reiterated that not a pesewa of taxpayers’ money was involved in the construction of the ongoing Hajj Village.

In a statement, Mr Ofosu said the Hajj Village was primarily an Airport Terminal Building for check in and pilgrim facilitation owned and being built by the Ghana Airport Company. Not a pesewa of taxpayers’ money involved.

It would be recalled that on Friday, February 28, President John Dramani Mahama cut the sod for the construction of a modern state-of-the-art Hajj Village in Accra.

The facility is expected to be completed within two years.
