Ghanaian gospel musician Nacee has publicly endorsed former President John Mahama’s policies ahead of the December 7, 2024 elections.
Speaking at the National Democratic Congress (NDC) manifesto launch in Winneba, Central Region, on August 24, 2024, Nacee expressed his confidence in Mahama’s ability to fulfill his promises, citing the former president’s proven track record.
“I believe in these policies because I believe in Mahama. When he was in office, he accomplished many of the things he promised. So, I genuinely believe he can deliver,” Nacee stated.
The endorsement followed Nacee’s electrifying performance at the event, where he captivated the audience with his popular gospel hits. The Jophus Anamuah-Mensah Auditorium at the University of Education, Winneba, was filled with supporters eager to witness the manifesto launch.
A standout moment was Nacee’s performance of “Aseda,” which won the TGMA 2024 Gospel Song of the Year. The audience was deeply moved, singing and dancing along with the song, and even after the performance ended, they continued singing the chorus for several minutes.
The manifesto launche also featured NDC flagbearer John Dramani Mahama as a special guest. The event was attended by members of the National Executive Committee, the Council of Elders, Members of Parliament, Parliamentary Candidates, and distinguished guests from various sectors, including the Diplomatic Corps, Clergy, Civil Society Organizations, Academia, Labour Organizations, and Creative Arts.
