Gold Fields supports TTI, Aboso Health Center with computers 

Gold Fields Ghana Foundation (GFGF) has donated fifteen desktop computers and accessories to the Tarkwa Technical Institute (TTI) and the Aboso Health Center.

At the Tarkwa Technical Institute, Madam Helen Asmah, the Principal, received 10 desktop computers with accessories to help students gain comprehensive understanding of Information Communication and Technology (ICT) concepts and develop valuable skills for the digital age.

The Management at Aboso Health Center similarly received five desktop’s computers with accessories.

In addition, the facility would be connected to Starlink internet to enhance patient care and reduce operational challenges.

Speaking at the presentation, Madam Sandra Deladem Woanyah, Project Manager for GFGF, said the items together with the internet connectivity cost the Foundation over GH¢200,000.00.

She said the donation was in response to a request made by the management of TTI and the Aboso health Center in Tarkwa Nsuaem and Prestea Huni-Valley Municipalities to the GFGF.

Madam Woanyah emphasized that because the Foundation prioritised education and health since it was established, they were eager to contribute to these areas given their importance.

“As a Foundation we know that ICT has become an important component for education in the 21st century. The healthcare sector is now shifting towards digital records, and we believe this move by Gold Fields will build the center’s capabilities, ” she added.

Madam Helen Asmah, the Principal of TTI, on behalf of the school thanked the Foundation for the assistance and assured them that they would use the computers for the intended purpose and maintain it for the benefit of future generations.

Mr David Kofi Asomdwe Agonoprh, Assembly member of Senyakrom Electoral Area, encouraged more institutions and individuals to join GFGF in supporting education and health in the two municipalities.
