The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has expressed heartfelt gratitude to God for securing the coveted number one position on Ghana’s 2024 presidential ballot.
Speaking at the Church of Pentecost in Breman Assikuma, Central Region, Dr. Bawumia attributed the outcome to divine providence. “It is the making of God,” he emphasized, underscoring the importance of faith in navigating life’s challenges.
The NPP representative had participated in the Electoral Commission’s ballot draw, randomly selecting the number one spot. Dr. Bawumia sees this as a testament to God’s guidance.
“We prayed to the Lord, and we believe God listened to our prayers,” Dr. Bawumia shared with the congregation. “God gave us the number one position, and we are grateful to Him.”
Dr. Bawumia stressed the significance of trusting in God’s will, especially in times of uncertainty. “There are many things men cannot do, but we believe God can do everything,” he said. “Once we put our trust in God, things will go well.”
This development is seen as a boost to Dr. Bawumia’s campaign, with many interpreting it as a sign of divine favor.
