Ghanaian Teenagers Train with FC Barcelona First Team

In a exciting development, two Ghanaian teenagers, Abdul Aziz Issah and David Oduro, joined FC Barcelona’s first team training session on Saturday, ahead of their clash against Girona FC.

The duo, who recently signed with Barcelona’s B team, were called up by manager Hansi Flick to train with the senior side. This move is part of Flick’s tradition of scouting young talent from the subsidiary team, a practice he inherited from his predecessor Xavi.

18-year-old David Oduro, a left-back, and Abdul Aziz Issah, a winger who draws inspiration from Lamine Yamal, are considered among the best young players in the African market. Although they don’t have work permits yet to play for Barça Athletic, Flick is eager to assess their skills and potential.

The German tactician hopes to integrate Oduro and Aziz Issah into the first team dynamics in the coming months, provided they adapt well to Spanish football. Their progress will be closely monitored, and their talent could be a valuable asset for Barcelona in the future.

Saturday’s training session also saw Ansu Fati preparing for his potential debut game of the season, while Gavi continued his rehabilitation work, edging closer to a highly anticipated return.
