Okyenhene Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin has expressed confidence that Ghana will maintain its civility throughout the 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections, despite the warlike rhetoric from politicians. Speaking at the Okyeman Nifa Royal durbar, held in his honor as part of his 25th Anniversary celebration, the Okyenhene noted that Ghana has successfully conducted several elections under the fourth Republic since 1992, and he expects the December 2024 election to follow suit.
The Okyenhene urged the youth and all voters to exercise their rights responsibly and advised Ghanaians to embrace forgiveness and love for one another. He also called on citizens, particularly those in public service, to exhibit patriotism and selflessness.
Additionally, the Okyenhene emphasized the importance of teachers’ roles in society, urging them to perform their duties diligently and with love. He acknowledged the need for better working conditions for teachers but also encouraged them to reciprocate with dedication and hard work.
