Ghana is open for foreign direct investment in tourism

Madam Abla Dzifa Gomashie, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, has reiterated that Ghana is open for foreign direct investment in tourism.
She said the country was always ready for such investments that aligned with the country’s tourism vision and national development agenda.
The Minister made this known during a meeting with a delegation from Tourvest Integrated Tourism Group to discuss potential collaborations and unveil a major investment drive in Ghana’s tourism sector.
The meeting focused on Tourvest’s operational philosophy, authentic Ghanaian storytelling, and immersive guest experiences at tourist centres.
Madam Gomashie expressed interest in deepening collaboration with Tourvest, particularly in tourism infrastructure development, job creation, and capacity building.
She urged the delegation to expedite their proposed investment in the Ghanaian tourism industry to benefit the local population.
Mr  Luuhengo Neswiswi, Leader of the  Tourvest delegation, shared successful initiatives from other African countries, emphasising cultural integrity and community engagement.
He said Tourvest’s approach prioritised local staff hiring, social impact initiatives, and community development projects.
He stressed the need to maintain open communication as they worked together to establish Ghana as a centre of excellence for sustainable, culturally grounded tourism that empowered communities.
