The public has been reassured by Ghana National Gas Company (Ghana Gas) that there won’t be any “dumsor,” or power outages, during the next maintenance shutdown of its offshore gas export facilities and Gas Processing Plant (GPP). The planned period for the repair is August 1, 2024, to August 17, 2024.
Lean Gas from the Sankofa-OCTP field will be available for distribution at the Takoradi Distribution Station (TDS) despite the shutdown, according to a statement released by Ernest Kofi Owusu-Bempah Bonsu, Head of Corporate Communications at Ghana Gas. This guarantees a continuous supply of gas.
“We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that the shutdown may have caused, but we also want to reassure the public that power will be available without interruption during this time,” Bonsu said. “Maintaining the highest standards of operational efficiency and safety is our commitment.”
In order to improve the plant’s operating efficiency and guarantee the safety of its operations, planned maintenance is essential. This preemptive action is a part of Ghana Gas’s dedication to offering the country dependable energy alternatives.
