Reverend Prosper Gbeve, the Greater Regional Pastor of the Great Commission Church International (GCCI) has advised children to be more Christlike.
He noted that Chrislikeness was central to the Christian faith because it reflected God’s desire for Christians to be transformed into the image of his only begotten Son, Christ Jesus.
Rev Gbeve made the call in his homily at the close of the 2025 Children’s Camp of the Greater Regional Branch of the GCCI in Tema.
He said transformation into Christlikeness was not merely about outward actions, but also about an inward change of heart and character in order to please God.
He urged the children to let what they have learnt at the Camp reflect in their lives.
He also appealed to them to be good Ambassadors of Christ Jesus.
Rev Paul Morgan-Adorsu, the Tema District Pastor of the GCCI, advised children to be obedient to the parents and to seek to honour God at all times.
Rev Iddi Yire, the Resident Pastor of GCCI Maranatha Assembly, urged children to have daily devotion.
This, he said, was because a consistent devotional habit could help nurture their faith, build a strong spiritual foundation, and deepen their relationship with God.
