Emelia Brobbey is embracing her versatility in the entertainment industry, expressing excitement about her new journey as a director and producer of her own films. In a recent interview on One Ghana TV, Emelia spoke passionately about her transition from acting to working behind the camera, sharing the pride she feels in taking on this new role.

While she has experience in film production, Emelia acknowledged that directing brings its own set of challenges and valuable learning experiences. She highlighted the influence of her mentor, Samuel Nyamekye, saying, “As I explore directing, I’m constantly learning from him. His passion and meticulous attention to detail keep me grounded and inspired.”

Her latest film marks her debut as a director and presents her with an acting challenge as well. Emelia humorously shared her experience of playing the spouse of Mr. Nyamekye, a role that initially felt daunting due to their close, almost familial bond. “It took me out of my comfort zone, but that’s the beauty of directing and acting—you adapt, find your character’s truth, and bring that to the audience,” she reflected.
