Fifi Kwetey: Removing NPP from Power Won’t Be Easy

Fifi Kwetey, General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has cautioned that ousting the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) from power in the upcoming 2024 general elections will be a daunting task.

According to Kwetey, the NPP’s desperation to cling to power stems from their fear of prosecution for alleged misdeeds committed while in office. This desperation, he warns, will drive the NPP to employ unscrupulous tactics to maintain their grip on power.

Kwetey’s statement serves as a rallying cry for NDC supporters, urging them to remain vigilant and focused on securing victory in the December 7, 2024, elections. He cautions against complacency, emphasizing that the NPP’s power-hungry nature will stop at nothing to retain control.

The NDC General Secretary’s comments come as the political landscape in Ghana heats up ahead of the crucial polls. As the opposition party gears up to challenge the incumbent NPP, Kwetey’s words serve as a reminder of the challenges that lie ahead.
