Fabregas Offers Alli a Lifeline: Dele to Train with Como in Bid to Revive Career

Serie A club Como claimed a surprise 2-0 win over Roma earlier in the day and former Tottenham Hotspur star Dele Alli watched from the stands.

An own goal from Alessandro Gabrielloni was followed by a Nico Paz goal a minute later as the Giallorossi looked to get their attack going. Como deserved the win and was asked about the result after the game.

He told a news conference: “This win is important for everyone, for the team, our fans and the whole city we deserved a night like this. Tonight the tactics were not important but our desire to win, we are Como and we know our level. To win against the big teams, we have to do more than them.
“Maybe it will happen that even if we play well like tonight, we don’t win, but we have to give everything like today and keep working like that.”

Alli, who has been without a club since leaving Everton last summer, has been linked with a move to Inter. But his presence in the stands during the match has sparked talk of a move to Como.

Fabregas was asked directly about it and the Spaniard revealed that the Englishman will train with them until the end of the month.

“I don’t want to talk about it, right now we are enjoying this victory. He can train with us after Christmas to get back into shape, but tonight we will talk about Como and Gabrielloni. »
This victory saw Como move up to 16th on the table and they have been well clear of the relegation zone for several weeks.
