Residents of Adankwame Esaso in the Atwima Nwabiagya North District of the Ashanti Region are expressing deep frustration and disappointment over the government’s abandonment of critical projects in their community. The unfinished “Ghana-First Toilet Project” has left residents without access to modern and hygienic sanitation facilities, while the deplorable state of their roads is causing respiratory problems and other health issues due to thick dust.
Residents are lamenting the government’s seeming indifference to their plight. “We are suffering, and the government doesn’t seem to care,” said one resident. “We lack basic toilet facilities, and our roads are in a terrible state. The dust is causing health issues, making it hard to breathe.”
The community is urging the government to take immediate action to complete the abandoned toilet project and repair their roads. They are calling for prioritization of their needs and provision of basic amenities. “We’re not asking for too much,” said another resident. “We just want functional toilets and good roads. Is that too much to ask from our government?”
