Ghanaian and AFC Bournemouth striker Antoine Semenyo has been included in the English Premier League team of the week following his fantastic performance against Manchester City during the weekend.
The player scored as the Cherries ended the 2024 Premier League champions’ unbeaten run with a 2-1 win at Vitality Park.
Semenyo has been an integral part of City’s backs, particularly Kyle Walker on the right wing, tackling and tackling with his incredible footwork.
The English-born Ghanaian is joined by Bournemouth players Adam Smith and Lewis Cook in Troy Deeney’s BBC Team of the Week.
The squad also includes Ola Aina of Nigeria and Nottingham Forests, as well as his former team-mate Dominic Solanke, who now plays for Tottenham Hotspurs, and Newcastle United’s Anthony Gordon. Southampton duo Aaron Ramsdale and Taylor Harwood-Bellis have also been included in the squad along with Tottenham’s Radu Dragus, Chelsea’s Moises Caicedo and Wolves’ Joao Gomes.
Semenyo has scored four goals in ten Premier League games this season.
