Hon. Kwasi Bonzoh, District Chief Executive (DCE) of Ellembelle and chairman of the District Security Council, has pledged to prevent any chieftaincy disputes under his leadership. Despite several disputes arising during his tenure, Bonzoh and his security council have successfully resolved them.
Addressing concerns about his involvement in chieftaincy matters, Bonzoh clarified that his role is to maintain peace and security, not to interfere in traditional processes. At a leadership capacity-building workshop for chiefs, queen mothers, and heads of families, Bonzoh explained the security council’s role in chieftaincy matters and provided guidance on proper enstooling and destooling procedures.
In an interview, Bonzoh urged traditional leaders to avoid disputes and follow proper procedures to prevent future conflicts. Participating chiefs expressed gratitude for Bonzoh’s decisive stance and encouraged him to take further action if necessary.
The workshop, organized by the Eastern Nzema Traditional Council, aimed to build capacity and promote peaceful resolution of chieftaincy disputes in the Ellembelle District.
