Election 2024: Bawumia urges Ghanaians to vote based on impact of government policies

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has highlighted several achievements of the NPP government over the past seven and a half years. These include the implementation of Free SHS, providing every Ghanaian child with access to secondary education, and mobile money interoperability, which has enabled all Ghanaians to enjoy banking services. He also mentioned the use of drones to deliver medical supplies to remote areas and the ability to renew health insurance via mobile phones.

Dr. Bawumia is calling on Ghanaians to base their decisions in the 2024 elections on the tangible impact the two leading parties have had on their lives. Speaking during a community engagement at Gbintiri in the Nalerigu/Gambaga constituency, Dr. Bawumia emphasized the importance of assessing the effectiveness of government policies and initiatives.

He contrasted these accomplishments with what he described as the less impactful initiatives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), urging voters to consider the NPP’s record of development, particularly in the northern regions, where they have focused on creating new regions and providing essential services such as schools, water, roads, and hospitals.

Dr. Bawumia also outlined his vision for the future under his leadership, promising to continue the groundwork laid by the Nana Akufo-Addo government. He pledged to implement policies that would stimulate business and industry, improve healthcare, enhance ICT-based education, and generally improve the lives of ordinary Ghanaians.
