“Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the presidential candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has made a passionate appeal to Ghanaians to support his bid to take the country to the next level of digital transformation. Speaking to a large crowd at Mampong Akuapem in the Eastern Region, Bawumia emphasized the importance of digitization in accelerating Ghana’s development agenda.
He highlighted several achievements in the digital space, including the successful rollout of the Ghana Card, mobile money interoperability, and the digital address system. These initiatives, he noted, have laid a solid foundation for further digital transformation.
Bawumia urged Ghanaians to entrust the country to a party that believes in possibilities and has a proven track record of implementing innovative policies. He emphasized the NPP’s commitment to leveraging technology to drive economic growth, improve service delivery, and enhance the overall quality of life for Ghanaians.
Sammi Awuku, the NPP parliamentary candidate for Akuapem North, also addressed the crowd, stressing the party’s dedication to social intervention and economic policies that benefit Ghanaians. He cited examples of policies initiated under former President Kufuor’s regime, which are still ongoing today, and urged Ghanaians to vote for the NPP in the upcoming general elections.
The event, which drew thousands of NPP supporters, national executives, regional and constituency officials, as well as personalities from the music industry, marked a significant moment in Bawumia’s campaign.
