The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiadu Nketiah, has called on members of the party in Afrancho-Akomadan, Offinso North Circus, Ashanti Region, to prioritize policies and long-term vision instead of financial incentives of the opposition during the vote.
He stated that taking money in exchange for votes undermines the potential for significant development, warning that such actions can hinder the progress of the community.
Speaking on the first day of the NDC sales campaign in the Ashanti region Asiedu Nketiah urged voters to support candidates who are committed to sustainable growth and effective governance for the benefit of the area.
“We will distribute the money and gifts fairly if that is what you want instead of using them for development projects. How will the development be?” They have a lot to spend and even use that little money to get votes for them.
“Anyone who does not see the development projects that QDH has brought to the Ashanti region should ignore it. Everyone benefits from our projects. If the other party gives money based on the status without any development in our communities, and also you vote for them, we will do the same.”
