Commercial drivers in Mpohor, Fiase-Mpohor District of the Western Region, have appealed to the government for the construction of a modern bus terminal to improve their operations.
They described the current facility as deplorable and inadequate, saying it lacked basic infrastructure and posed safety risks—especially during rainfall when the area becomes flooded and muddy, disrupting transport services.
Mr. Nicholas Mensah, Station Master, expressed concern over the situation, noting: “Whenever it rains, the place turns into a mess, and passengers are left stranded. Drivers pay daily park tickets but wonder how those funds are used since the terminal remains in poor condition.”

Drivers also highlighted challenges with space and congestion, particularly on market days.
“On market days, we often have to park along the roadside. “Some people take advantage of the chaos to steal from vehicles,” lamented Mr. Ebo Hackman, a commercial driver.
They urged the authorities to prioritize the construction of a well-equipped terminal to ensure safety, efficiency, and comfort for both drivers and commuters.
