Apostle Bismarck Siaw, the Resident Pastor of the Sunyani Estate branch of the Living Grace Ministry, has urged children to build better relationships with their fathers.
He said fatherhood was divine and it was imperative for families to honour and respect the dignity of fatherhood.

Apostle Siaw gave the advice when preaching a sermon on the theme the “Importance of Honouring and respecting fathers” at a church service organized to mark the Father’s Day celebration in Sunyani.

He said: “a father’s blessing brings joy and prosperity to his children”, urging children and families to admire and respect fathers, regardless of their actions and inactions.

Apostle Siaw said everybody was required to first honour and magnified God as the Almighty and heavenly Father, creator and giver of life, saying though some earthly fathers might not be perfect, they also deserved the required respect from their children too.

He urged families and children who had wronged their fathers or their fathers wronged them to remain humble, forgive and reconcile with them, saying “respecting our fathers is essentially divine”.

Apostle Siaw also urged children to show loving-kindness, care and prioritise the welfare of their fathers, saying “God is caring and He always forgives our sins and trespasses.”
He urged fathers who had also abandoned or neglected their parental responsibility to repent and perform their fatherhood obligations.
