Chef Kafui Adzah enstooled as Akoefe Katavi Clan Queen Mother

Mama Adzah II, known in private life as Ms. Kafui Adzah, has been enstooled as the Divisional Queen Mother of the Katavi Clan of Akoefe Gadza in the Asogli State.

She described the honour as not merely a title but a responsibility to serve, uplift, and advance the rich tradition, culture and development of her people.

“My enstoolment as Mama Adzah II is not just a title but a commitment to serve, uplift, and honour our rich tradition, culture and development of my village,” she declared during the ceremony, Mama Adzah said.

Ms. Adzah, widely recognised as a celebrated Ghanaian chef and entrepreneur, is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Cookhouse GH, a fast-rising food brand redefining indigenous Ghanaian cuisine.

Her culinary journey began after she resigned from her role as an internal auditor at the Bank of Africa to pursue her passion for cooking, an unconventional but fulfilling career change.

Over the years, she has earned recognition as an award-winning entrepreneur, having been named “Customer Focused CEO of the Year” in 2015 at the Ghana Customer Service Awards.

In 2016, she was also listed among the most influential young Ghanaians, ranking 27th, a recognition that highlighted her role as a change-maker in both entrepreneurship and culinary innovation.

Kafui Adzah is credited with introducing groundbreaking food concepts such as “Waakye on Wheels” and “Jumbo Jollof,” designed to make healthy and affordable meals accessible to Ghanaians from all walks of life.

Through Cookhouse GH, she has empowered young women by providing them with employment opportunities and mentorship for personal and professional growth.

Her business has catered for corporate and diplomatic events, including serving five branches of the Bank of Africa, positioning Cookhouse GH as a trusted name in the Ghanaian food industry.

Looking to the future, Ms. Adzah has expressed plans to expand Cookhouse GH to operate mobile food trucks across Accra’s suburbs and establish outlets at Ghana’s airports to showcase local cuisine on the international stage.

Supporters at the ceremony praised her dedication and resilience. “Your remarkable journey is a shining example for our young women, showcasing unwavering passion, unrelenting drive, and unshakeable resilience,” Mr. Hlodze noted, encouraging her to ignore detractors and remain focused on her transformative mission.

From her days at OLA Kpodzi to her rise as an entrepreneur of national repute, Mama Adzah II’s story is seen as one of determination, service, and inspiration marking the beginning of a new chapter as a traditional leader in Asogli State.
