C1GS girls dominate in August Latex Foam Monthly medal in Kumasi

Two beneficiaries of the Captain One Golf Society’s Kids Project, Ayishatu Aminu and Fadilatu Adam, displayed their golfing skills and talents at the Royal Golf Club, Kumasi to win the August edition of the Latex Foam Medal.

Ayishatu Aminu led the ladies’ group after playing 18-holes and returning with a gross score of 68 while Fadilatu Adam returned with a gross score of 72 to finish second in the ladies’ group.

Meanwhile Zakia Hudu, also a beneficiary of the kids’ project placed third with a gross score of 73.

In the men’s Group B, Rytis Preisas won with a gross score of 67 followed John Asafu-Adjaye with 69 with Dominic Darkwa claiming the third position with a gross score of 70.

In Group A, Bernard Kwasi Dwomoh won after returning with a gross score of 71 followed by Daniel Ntim with a gross score of 72 and Ekow finishing third with a gross score of 74.

An excited Ayisha Amidu thanked the leaders and members of the Captain One Golf Society for their effort in making her realise her talent and acknowledged the tactics and strategies of her coaches.

She said she was willing to take lessons from her seniors and competitors on the course to better herself since she had just started her golfing career.

Ayisha’s steadily rising in golf in Ghana has been recognised by the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) as she was voted as the Discovery of the Year during the 48th edition of the annual SWAG Awards.
