The Bono Regional branch of the ‘Youth Caucus for Alan’ has publicly declared their support and commitment to work tirelessly to ensure the victory of Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential Candidate, in the upcoming general election.
The group’s leader, Mr. Jeffrey Kwarteng Brobbey, addressed a press conference in Sunyani, clarifying that they had not defected to the Movement for Change, as rumored, but remained loyal members of the NPP. He emphasized that their initial support for Mr. Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten during the NPP’s Presidential primaries did not translate to an exit from the party.
Mr. Brobbey reaffirmed their dedication to the NPP, stating, “We are still committed to the cause and remain loyal members of the great elephant family.” He was joined by other executives and approximately 100 members of the Caucus.
The group has re-strategized to promote the NPP’s achievements and market Dr. Bawumia and his running mate, Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, to enhance the party’s fortunes in Election 2024. Mr. Brobbey urged all NPP members and supporters to contribute to the electioneering efforts, expressing optimism that the party would “break the eight” and retain political power.
