The Blue Skies Foundation has inaugurated three-unit classroom block and other facilities constructed for the Panpanso Krokese Municipal Assembly Basic School in the Nsawam-Adoagyiri Municipality of the Eastern Region.
Attached to the facility is a staff common room, sanitation amenities and Information Communication Technology (ICT) laboratory.
The construction of the Junior High School block and other facilities, according to the foundation, followed a request made by the community and the school.
Mr Alistair Djimatey, the Head of the Foundation and Corporate Affairs at the Blue Skies Products Ghana Limited said: “Our objective is to ensure that every child has access to quality education, irrespective of their geographical locations”.
Madam Beatrice Mamle Nkum, the Nsawam-Adoagyiri Municipal Chief Executive, thanked the foundation for the support, saying that it would have a significant impact on the growth and development of education in the area.
Madam Lydia Akortia, the headteacher of the school, also expressed appreciation to the donors, saying, their assistance was timely and called on the education directorate to post more teachers and provide the school with additional computers too.
