Bawumia Declares Himself Ghana’s Future, Labels Mahama as the Past

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is presenting himself as the leader who will lead Ghana to a prosperous future, comparing his vision to what he describes as the old-fashioned approach of former President John Dramani Mahama.

Addressing supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) at the last rally before the December 7 elections, Dr. Bawumia stressed the importance of forward-thinking leadership and the continuation of the NPP’s transformative policies.

“This election is a clear choice between the future and the past. My opponent represents the past and I, Dr. Bawumia, represent the future of this country,” he said.

“So the choice we will have on Saturday, when we go to the polls, will be whether we want to move forward into the future or go back to the past. It is in the spirit of opportunity that we at NPP build on ourselves and the work we have done.

“We believe it is possible to transform this country into an advanced nation,” he said.
