The Banda District Assembly in the Bono Region has announced the death of Police Superintendent Kofi Oduro Amponsah, the Banda District Police Commander.
According to Mr Peter Dongi, the Banda District Chief Executive, the late Supt Amponsah, 56 years, died after a short illness.
He described him as a very kind man and hardworking.
Mr Dongi gave the announcement when addressing the First Ordinary General Meeting of the Ninth Assembly held at Banda-Ahenkro, the district capital.
He said the district would remember the late police commander for his instrumental role towards the peaceful conduct of the 2024 Election in the area, saying “in fact Supt Amponsah served the district with dedication and commitment, and his passing will be deeply felt by all”.
Mr Dongi conveyed the assembly’s sympathy to the bereaved family and pledged their commitment to give the deceased a befitting burial.
