Baah Acheamfour, the Deputy Ashanti Regional Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has dismissed claims that NDC members have defected to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ashanti Region. During a community engagement in Abesewa, Acheamfour refuted reports that 95 NDC members had joined the NPP, led by one Mohammed Alhassan.

Acheamfour accused the NPP of deceiving the public by dressing their own members in NDC colors and presenting them as defectors. He assured that the NDC would not respond to such claims but would wait for the December polls to reveal the true loyalty of the people.

The NDC scribe emphasized that NDC members in the community are well aware of their friends in the NPP and cannot be deceived. He noted that while NPP members may join the NDC, the party does not publicize such instances due to its confidence in its vibrancy in the community.

Acheamfour concluded by urging NDC supporters to vote overwhelmingly for John Mahama and their parliamentary candidate, Mr. Yakubu Mohammed, in the December polls.
