Atwima Nwabiagya South MP assists Nkawie-Toase government hospital

Ms Shirley Kyei, Member of Parliament (MP) for Atwima-Nwabiagya South, has donated 10 hospital mattresses and a delivery bed valued GHc 7,000.00 to the Nkawie-Toase government hospital.
The MP made the donation during a tour of health facilities in the constituency to interact with management and discuss areas which needed her attention for assistance.
Ms Kyei, speaking at the ceremony, said she was committed to helping to improve health infrastructure to enhance quality healthcare delivery in the area.
“As a representative of the people, I am dedicated to ensuring that our communities have access to quality health care,” she stated.
Dr. Frank Fiifi Otchere, Medical Superintendent of the hospital, described the donation as useful and timely, adding that, they would help in the efficient operation of health workers at the facility.


Nana Akosua Adom, Afena-Hemaa of Nkawie, commended the MP for the gesture and her commitment to health care in the area.
In another development, Mr Frank Yeboah, Member of Parliament for Atwima Nwabiagya North, has visited the rainstorm disaster scenes at Amakye -Bare to inspect the extent of damage caused by the disaster.
The rainstorm, that hit the Amakye -Bare town, during the weekend, destroyed buildings of 72 households, three basic schools, four churches and a community centre.
Currently economic, social, and academic activities have been halted in the community and the MP is working with key stakeholders to ensure that life returned to normal.
Mr Yeboah appealed to the assembly member of the community to immediately provide data on all the affected persons to facility the delivery of relief support for the victims.
Mr. Stephen Kwadwo Ampofo, the Assemblyman for Amakye-Bare electoral area, commended the MP for his concern and speedy response.
He appealed for assistance from all Ghanaians to support the victims.
