Asogli State to mark Anti-Corruption Day with integrity call

The Asogli State will on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, observe Anti-Corruption Day with a call for integrity, transparency, and accountability as part of activities marking the 2025 Asogli Te Za.

The event, scheduled for the forecourt of the Asogli State in Ho, will be held on the theme: “Together for Peace, Unity and Development through Integrity and Fairness.”

Togbe Afede XIV, Agbogbomefia of Asogli State, will host the dialogue and rally citizens, leaders, and institutions to reject corruption in all its forms.

Mr. Franklin Cudjoe, President of IMANI Africa, will be the keynote speaker and is expected to highlight the dangers of corruption to Ghana’s democracy and economic growth.

Organisers say the event will reaffirm commitment to good governance and national values, with symbolic activities such as candle lighting and peace recitals by schoolchildren to stress the importance of integrity in building a just society.

Civil society organisations, faith-based groups, youth associations, and the general public are expected to participate.

A statement from the planning committee noted: “This commemoration will remind us that corruption is a threat to our unity and progress. Together, we will safeguard our future by embracing accountability.”

The Asogli State emphasised that the fight against corruption requires collective responsibility, adding that the programme would encourage citizens to demand transparency across all sectors.

The Anti-Corruption Day commemoration will pave the way for other activities scheduled as part of the 2025 Asogli Te Za.
