Asante Kotoko are set to appoint a new technical director, Kumasi-based Kessben FM reports.
The move follows recent changes announced by the club’s Interim Management Committee (IMC) on Monday, including the resignation of Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum from his role as an IMC member.

The move, which has been approved by the club’s life patron, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and Manhyia Palace, will allow Dr Ogum to fully focus on his responsibilities as head coach. The club believes that the move will enable Ogum to better lead the team to achieve its competitive goals.

Asante Kotoko has decided to recruit a new technical director to support Dr. Ogum’s efforts and strengthen the technical structure. The move is intended at improving the team’s performance as they look to bounce back from a difficult start to the season in the Ghana Premier League.

The Porcupine Warriors have faced a lot of criticism after a five-match winless streak. However, they ended that run with a deserved 2-0 win over Aduana Stars at Nana Agyemang Badu Park on Sunday.

Asante Kotoko are currently 7th in the league table with 18 points from 12 matches. They now prepare for a much-anticipated round of 13 clash against old rivals Hearts of Oak on Sunday.
