Allegations of covert recruitment at Kumasi Training School are refuted by police.

The Kumasi Police Training School in the Ashanti Region is the site of a covert recruitment exercise, according to a viral video. The Ghana Police Service has refuted these claims.
On Wednesday, September 4, 2024, the police made it clear on Facebook that the people attending the training school were not there as part of a recruitment drive, but rather as part of a special operation.

On Tuesday, September 3, 2024, 487 people in relation to the QNET Ponzi scam were taken into custody as a result of the operation, which was carried out in Kumasi.

The Kumasi Police Training School was used as a location to screen individuals as part of the investigation process due to their huge number.

The police went on to say that some National Democratic Congress (NDC) members showed up to the school during the screening process, claiming to have heard of a covert recruitment operation in progress.

“Upon realizing the claim was false and there was no such recruitment going on, they dispersed,” the post stated.

The public has been advised by the Ghana Police Service to consider the allegations of a covert recruitment exercise with the disdain they merit.
