AFCON 2025 Qualifiers: Niger Keep Ghana’s Hope Alive

Niger recorded their first win in the  2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers by beating Sudan  4-0 on matchday five at the  Kégué Stadium in Lomé, the capital of Togo.
Despite playing on  neutral ground, the Menas put in a five-star performance throughout the match, perhaps their best so far in the qualifying series.
Ghanaian striker Daniel Sosah scored twice in the match, with two more goals from Youssouf Oumarou and Ousseni Badamassi, to give Niger the three points.
The Orange are currently third in the standings with four points and will need to win their final match and hope to qualify than depending on the results of their other matches.

Ghana,  currently bottom of Group F with just two points,  still have a chance of qualifying, especially after Sudan’s massive collapse today, and will need to beat Angola and Niger now to improve their  chances.
