This quarter, Uncle Ebo Whyte’s new play, “Takeover,” is set in a church and recounts a very funny and poignant human narrative.
Following his operation, Apostle Godson returns amid complete disarray and fear. His daughter Mary causes a stir on social media with graphic recordings, and two of his deputies plan a takeover within his own church.
How is he going to restore her damaged reputation and face the wolves in his herd who are masquerading as sheep?
Even in God’s house, the most unlikely things might happen and leave one shocked. Then you recall that Satan was formerly an angel of light, which explains how he can embellish that front to trick people. You will encounter on-the-lookout Satanic sentinels in James Ebo Whyte’s Takeover. Take Care! Most likely, you won’t identify them right away. Dr. Brew Riverson Junior says.
“Takeover” deftly tells the story of avarice, morality, and a father’s undying love for his misbehaving child.
The drama will be performed on July 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, and 14 of 2024.
Fridays are one-show only at 7 p.m.; Saturdays are two-show only at 4 and 8 p.m.; and Sundays are three-show periods at 1 p.m., 4 p.m., and 8 p.m.
