Education School Induction

Ms Nancy Arthur, the Headmistress of the Bechem Presbyterian Senior High School (PRESEC) in the Ahafo Region says 1,519 freshers have been admitted for the 2025/2026 academic year.

They comprised 766 males and 753 females, pursuing three-year secondary education programmes in Business, General Agriculture, Visual Arts, Home Economics, General Science, Languages and General Arts.

Ms Arthhur was addressing the fourth series of induction service for the fresher at Bechem in the Tano South Municipality of the Region.

She urged the students to be disciplined and take their studies and other curricular activities seriously for their own good.

Ms Arthur advised them to uphold the school’s core values of integrity, discipline, hard work and respect for authority, so that they would be more refined, urging families to invest much of their resources in the education of the children.

She said education remained the best and surest legacy for their children and wards, saying with quality education, the students could grow to become useful adults and contribute positively to shaping society.

Ms Arthur commended the teaching and non-teaching staff of the school for the dedication, selfless and devotion to duty which had contributed immensely to the uplifting the image of the school and asked them to endeavour to maintain the spirit of unity of purpose.

The Reverend Gilbert Asare Ntow, the Chaplain of the School prayed for God’s guidance and protection for the students and entreated them to remain studious after they had gone through the introductory oath of the school to seal their admission.

Mr Joseph Kusi Marfo, the Headmaster in-charge of Academics of the school also urged the freshers to leverage the school’s conducive learning atmosphere and learn hard to build a better future for themselves and their families.
