The Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) has received a major boost to its diagnostic capabilities following the donation of a brand-new hisense colour doppler ultrasound machine valued at $55,000 from Sun Electronics Limited (Hisense Ghana).
The state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment, which will support specialised healthcare delivery at the hospital’s Radiology Directorate, was officially handed over at a brief ceremony held at the forecourt of the Accident and Emergency Centre of KATH.
Nana Ama McBrown, Lead Brand Ambassador for Hisense Ghana, said the gesture reflected the company’s commitment to using its resources to make meaningful contributions to society.
“Hisense Ghana believes in making real differences in people’s lives, and today’s donation of the colour doppler ultrasound machine to KATH is a perfect example. This equipment will help doctors deliver faster and more accurate diagnoses, ultimately saving lives,” she said.
Dr. Paa Kwesi Baidoo, Chief Executive Officer of KATH, receiving the equipment, expressed deep appreciation to Hisense Ghana for the support, noting that the machine would significantly enhance diagnostic efficiency and patient outcomes.
“On behalf of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, I express our heartfelt gratitude to Hisense Ghana for this generous donation. This advanced colour doppler ultrasound will greatly strengthen our diagnostic services and improve patient care.
We look forward to continued collaboration with Hisense and other corporate bodies to advance healthcare delivery in Ghana,” Dr. Baidoo stated.
He also appealed to other corporate institutions to emulate Hisense Ghana’s example by supporting the hospital’s efforts to deliver world-class healthcare services.
