Asante Gold Bibiani Limited and PW Mining International have handed over a renovated mortuary facility to the Bibiani Municipal Hospital.

The renovation formed part of the two companies’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives aimed at improving healthcare infrastructure in the community.

The facility has a refurbished mortuary building, modern refrigeration systems, and improved sanitation and safety standards.

At the handing over ceremony at the hospital’s premises, Mr Samuel Kwesi Takyi, the General Manager of Asante Gold Bibiani Limited, stated that the initiative was part of the company’s efforts to enhance community well-being.

Mr Paul Convery, the Project Manager of PW Mining International, also reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting the Bibiani community through sustainable development initiatives.

Mr Emmanuel Aidoo, the Sustainability Manager of Asante Gold Bibiani Limited, stated that the project was to ensure dignity and efficiency in the hospital’s healthcare service delivery.

Nana Anaafi Ababio II, the Krontihene of Bibiani, who represented the Paramount Chief of Sefwi Anhwiaso Traditional Area, Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi II, lauded the two organisations for the gesture, and said it demonstrated their dedication to the welfare of the people of Bibiani.

Dr Akwasi Adu-Gyamfi, the Medical Superintendent of Bibiani Government Hospital, expressed gratitude to the mining companies for the kind gesture, and called on natives of Bibiani to support the hospital.

He gave the assurance that they would uphold a strong maintenance culture to ensure the facility’s longevity.

The renovated mortuary facility is expected to enhance the hospital’s capacity to manage and preserve bodies effectively while maintaining high hygienic standards.
