These graduates, including some physically Challenged, have successfully completed their training in Precision Quality (PQ) at Work under the DTI/Mastercard Foundation Project Phase Two initiative.
The event was on the theme: “Precision Quality at Work: Integrating the Informal Sector into the Larger Ghanaian Economy.”
Mr Edwin Faryosey – Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist, DTI, speaking at the event, said over the graduates had embraced a new way of thinking, a mindset of excellence, discipline, and continuous improvement.
The participants received certificate, while those who performed creditably received various equipment for their businesses.
He said the training was not just about skills, but about shaping attitudes, raising standards, and preparing them to lead in their industries.
“We also recognize the bold step you have taken towards the formalization of your businesses,” he added.
Mr Faryosey said formalisation was more than a certificate and it was their passport to growth, recognition, and sustainability.
He said it opened doors to contracts, financing, and wider opportunities, giving their craft the respect it deserved.
He said beyond knowledge and formalisation, “we also know that tools are the heartbeat of your work.
That is why today we are proud to present to you different hand tools to support your businesses.”
He said these tools were not just instruments but investments in their craft, future, and the communities.
“We trust that you will use them responsibly, not only to improve your productivity but also to maintain the highest standards of Precision and Quality,” he added.
He urged them to be Ambassadors of quality craftsmanship and not only artisans, saying “Let your work reflect the excellence you have learned here, let your businesses grow stronger and more formalised and let the tools you receive today be symbols of a brighter, more professional future.”
