FWSC mourns victims of August 6 helicopter crash

The Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC) has extended condolences to the families, colleagues, and institutions affected by the August 6 helicopter crash that claimed eight lives.
A statement issued by Mr George Smith-Graham, Acting Chief Executive of FWSC, and copied to the Ghana News Agency, described the incident as a national tragedy.
“These gallant men and women were not only devoted public servants but also patriots who gave their all in service to the Republic of Ghana.
“Their untimely deaths represent a significant loss to the country’s governance and national security architecture,” the statement said.
“At FWSC, we mourn alongside the government and people of Ghana, especially His Excellency the President, John Dramani Mahama, the Ghana Armed Forces, and all affected institutions, their spouses and family,” it added.t added.
Mr. Smith-Graham acknowledged the contributions of the deceased and their role in shaping the nation’s future.
“Their memory will forever be etched in our collective hearts.
“May the souls of the departed rest in perfect peace, and may the Almighty grant strength, comfort, and healing to their families and all who are grieving this painful loss,” he stated.
The victims included Dr Edward Kofi Omane Boamah, Minister of Defence; Alhaji Dr Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, Minister of Environment, Science and Technology; Alhaji Muniru Mohammed Limuna, Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator and former Minister of Food and Agriculture; and Dr Samuel Sarpong, Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress;.
The others were Mr Samuel Aboagye, a former parliamentary candidate; Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala; Flying Officer Malaen Twum Ampadu; and Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah.
